The 8th Annual Oddworld Fourms Poster Awards were started by Wired on 6 January 2010, and featured a small change the the list of awards.
- The awards for Oddworld and Non-Oddworld writing were reconsolidated into a single award.
- ‘Most Welcome Return’ was added and ‘Best Old Dude’ was renamed ‘Best Veteran’ to remove ambiguity.
- ‘Most Accomplished Troll’ was added.
- ‘Best Photo’ and ‘Best Avatar’ were retired.
- ‘Most Likely to Still Be Here in 20 Years’ was given a spiritual successor with ‘Member in Dire Need of a Life’.
This brought the number of awards down from twenty-nine to twenty-eight, and after twenty-eight members voted the results were posted on 28 January 2010.
