This list does not include the ‘Guardian Angel’ FMV, which is only available on the PlayStation version of the game.

Noclip mode

You can activate a noclip mode, allowing Abe to move through walls and floors, and fly through the air. To do this, go into the Abe’s Oddysee folder on your computer (by default this is C:\Program Files\Abe's Oddysee\), right‐click on AbeWin.exe and click ‘Copy’. Right‐click somewhere (in any folder on your computer, or your desktop) and select ‘Paste Shortcut’ to create a shortcut icon. Right‐click on that icon and select ‘Properties’.

Click on the ‘Shortcut’ tab at the top of the Properties window and look at the field labelled ‘Target:’. Leave the address and quote marks as they are, but go to the end and add ‘ -it_is_me_your_father’, including the space before the hyphen. Apply the change.

Now, when you start Abe’s Oddysee using this shortcut, hold the shift key until the main menu appears. Then, at any time during gameplay, press the Tab key to enter the noclip mode. Using the cursor keys you can move Abe about the screen in all directions through walls, floors, and the air. Holding shift will move him faster. Pressing Tab again will return Abe to the game’s normal laws of physics. This can also be done with possessed Sligs.

Be careful, because there is some odd behaviour with this cheat, especially regarding Abe’s death. The cheat can also be used in the Windows demo in exactly the same way.

Max
