10th Annual Oddworld Forums Poster Awards
The 10th Annual Oddworld Forums Poster Awards, or Annual Oddworld Forums Poster Awards X, were the tenth in the series of semi-annual member awards on the Oddworld Forums that have continued to the present.[1] They were hosted by STM (then named Scrabtrapman[2]), who opened voting on in 29 categories.[3] Twenty-six members voted in the Awards, the results of which were posted on .[4]
History
After hosting the 7th, 8th and 9th Awards, Wired still had not posted the 10th Awards by [5] due to Wil's being busy.[6] STM offered to host the Awards that month[7] but was met with scepticism[8][9] and did not post the voting thread.[10]
By the end of , OANST demanded that the Awards take place.[11] STM again offered to create the thread,[12] but by then Phylum had already begun creating it.[13] The race between them was won by STM, who posted his thread just one minute before Phylum, whose thread was closed before any votes could be made in it.[3][14]
Categories
The most significant change to the categories in the 10th Awards was the removal of the prefix ‘The Oddworld Forums’ from almost all category names, the only exception being ‘The Oddworld Forums Unofficial Mascot’. One category, ‘Best Role-Player’, was removed and replaced in the Fan Corner Suite with ‘Most Insular’. Another new category, ‘Most Changed Member’, was added, which brought the number of categories up to 29. Nominees in the 10th Awards were not given partial, non-integer votes as they had in all prior Awards.
