Fan of the Month

This month we spotlight Kristen, of Melbourne, Australia. Known as "Abe Babe" on the net, Kristen is the twisted genius behind one of the finest Oddworld web sites out there (www.oddworld.au.com), and a true blue Friend of Oddworld. Kristen's Oddworld enthusiasm knows no bounds, even going so far as to turn over a pile of Moolah for an Oddworld e3 brochure in a recent on-line auction. Kristen, you're our kind of Abe Babe!
A few months ago, Alf received a phone call from Kristen. "G'day! I'll be in the states for work and holiday and I'd like to stop by Oddworld if it would be alright. I know you are all pretty busy with Munch's Oddysee but I love Oddworld!" said Kristen. So Kristen got the grand tour of the studio and went to dinner with the Alf's Rehab & Tea crew. Here's an interview and some photos from her visit.

Q: What do you do in Australia?
KK: I'm a web designer. The official NFL Australian site is one of my sites. I'm a huge fan of American football, Metallica and of course Oddworld.

Q: Who is your favorite Character?
KK: ABE, of course! "He's really cool". I love gamespeak.

Q: What's your Favorite Environment?
KK Necrum. I like the native environments. They seem nice and peaceful.

Q: Who is your favorite "bad" guy?
KK: The sligs of course!

Q: Why do you like Oddworld games?
KK: t's more than just a video game. I love the Universe concept. At work people knew what Oddworld was even though they don't play games.

Q: Did you finish Abe's Exoddus?
KK: Yes! But I didn't save all the Mudokons.

Q: You got to see Munch upclose and personal, what do you think?
KK: Munch is cute! When Lorne showed me the new cinematics of Munch, I cried. His story is sad.

Q: Most girls love Elum. How about you?
KK: Elum's cool but I always thought of him as just a transport vehicle for Abe.

Q: You met the big boss, Lorne. What did you think?

KK: He looks like the kind of person who would design Oddworld. His image fits the game. He's cool! He likes fly fishing. We both like Metallica! Everyone at Oddworld was nice and took the time to answer my questions.

Q: Where do you see Oddworld in the future?

KK: I see the Oddworld Universe as a peaceful place. I'd also like more merchandise. Figurines, hats, patches, posters, books...anything I can get my hands on!
