Here on Earth, the unsung heroes are the folks who stand up for 'The Little Guy'. But on Oddworld, that's all the players ever do! Guiding Mudokon chumps and Gabbit lab-animals against insurmountable odds to freedom and happiness has become, well, a GAME to everybody. But no more! Our Fan-Of-The-Month for July, 12 year old Scotland native Drew, has finally made every corporate executive's dream a reality... the chance to stick up for the Big Guy! (Or the Bad Guy, at the very least.) Drew: 1 Mum, 1 Dad, 1 Brother, 2 Cats, 3 Parrots, Lots a Fish. Favorite Film: Drew: The Matrix is the best film ever made. Favorite Food/Candy? Drew: Fish and Chips. All candy is good, except in Scotland it's called chocolate. Favorite TV show? Drew: The Simpsons, and Futurama are cool. I like WWF too. Favorite video game? Drew: Abe's Oddysee, Tony Hawks 2, Ape Escape, Abe's Exoddus. Favorite School Subject? Drew: I like Wood Work (Techy), because it's fun to make stuff, plus you don't do much written work. When did you first become aware of Oddworld? Drew: Well, it was the first PlayStation game I ever played. I loved making Abe's pals explode and fart and stuff. It was funny, and still is. When did you first become a true Oddworld fanatic? Drew: Since the first time I played Abe's Oddysee, it was cool. What is your favorite Oddworld character and why? Drew: I like Sligs, because they look cool, and have cool weapons. Favorite bad guy? Drew: Molluck, because he's really scary. He's also got a nice suit. What's your favorite environment? Drew: I like Paramonia, it has a nice look and feel. Have you finished Abe's Exoddus? Drew: Yeah, and I even got 310 slaves! I used invisibility and saved the slaves after Aslik twice. What would be your dream vacation/summer break? Drew: Oddworld Studios of course. Other than that, Barbados would be cool. Did you learn web design in school? Drew: Nope. We don't get computing in school. I got a book about it and taught myself HTML. I spend about half an hour to two hours on school homework too. How much time do you spend each week on your Oddworld fan site? Drew: Maybe 2 hours. More when making games. How do you come up with the games you put on your site? Drew: I thought my site needed something original, so I learned Flash 5, and made a game in that. Then I changed a Java game to make Sligs Oddysee, then I made some HTML games, and now I make games using BASIC programming. How long did it take to create the first Drew's Slig Page?
