Name: Bob C. Location: Northwich, England Age: 47 going on 12 Occupation: Project Manager for a worldwide telecomms company. Favorite video game: Abe's Exoddus Hobbies: Drag Racing (bikes) running a nitrous oxide injected Daytona 1200 under the team name "Phatt Bob Drag Racing". Currently in the world top 3 racing Hinckley Triumphs. This year it's getting a major makeover, with an Oddworld theme, plus some other go faster mods. I've always raced Brit bikes, the last one being an evilly fast Triton (Triumph/Norton hybrid) which was featured in Classic Bike, Streetfighters and The Horse a few years ago. It still holds a couple of course records. Acid House/Rave. Cooking hot curries. Collecting toy robots. I don't do it seriously, it just gives me pleasure to cast my eye over Daleks, Terminators and Benders! Everything to extremes. Favorite film: It's got to be "Max Headroom ... 20 minutes into the future". The dark world of computer generated people and second hand body parts. Mad Max 2 is in with a shout too. Favorite food: Chicken vindaloo with sheek kebabs and a plain naan. Q: When did you first become aware of Oddworld? I saw a preview of Abe's Oddysee on a UK t.v. program called "Gamesmaster", hosted by famous eccentric astronomer and part time xylophone player Patrick Moore. I was seriously impressed by the environment graphics, although I didn't know what the game was about. Q: When did you first become a "true" Oddworld fanatic? I think it was the day I posessed my first slig. Q: What is your favorite Oddworld character and why? Sligs, naturally, 'cos they're evil personified, They let you relieve the pent up tension after spending time sneaking around as Abe, by blasting everything in sight. Q: When did you get your slig tattoo, and what made you choose that character? It was done by an award winning tattooist called Saz in Warrington UK, and took about 7 hours (not all at once though). I fancied something really different, and was well into Oddworld at the time. Q: What's your favorite environment? The industrial ones, I never was much of a nature boy. We've got a salt plant near us which is affectionately known in the family as RuptureFarms. Q: Who's your favorite bad guy? The interns in Munch's Oddysee. Q: Have you finished Munch's Oddysee? Yep, got Angelic quarma, good quarma, bad quarma and black quarma. My personal favourite is black quarma cos it's really hard to murder all the fuzzles! Sorry. Q: Is there anything you would like to say to your fellow Oddworld fans? Stay Odd but remember it's a videogame. Q: If you could ask Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning one question, what would it be? Are you Alf? - The End |
