Name:   Sabrina.
Age: I was born in 1982
Location:   Essen, Germany
Occupation:   I'm studying to be a Veterinary Surgical Assistant.
Favorite video game?
Sabrina:   I have two favorite video games: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus. I've never played Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, because the console Xbox is too expensive at the moment for me.

Hobbies?
Sabrina: My favorite occupation is my domestic animals. I like to ride my bicycle, listen to music, and I really like to play and paint Abe and his friends (and enemies). Naturally I also like to sit at my computer and send E-Mails away.

Favorite film?
Sabrina:  Actually I don't a favorite film. I like almost all films. Particularily horrors and dramas.

Favorite food?
Sabrina:   I'm very discrimination, if it concerns the meal. I do, however, dearly love pizza, spaghetti and Big Macs.

When did you first become aware of Oddworld?
Sabrina:  In the year 1997 I had seen for the first time the game Abe's Oddysee. My sister's friend had lent the game from the videothek. It was the first time I saw the game and it astonished me. I took pleasure in it and I watched my sister's friend again and again, how he played it. But I thought it was too difficult and complicated for me.

When did you first become a true Oddworld fanatic?
Sabrina::  In the year 1999 I looked at the games myself and tried to play. From that day on I was crazy about it and played all night and day. Afterwards I bought part 2 of the Oddworld saga, Abe's Exoddus. when I had it, I wanted to absolutely buy the third edition of Oddworld. But I read in the newspaper that there will not be a third edition on the PlayStation1. A few months later I saw the famous Abe would appear on the Xbox, because Oddworld Inhabitants was not content with the PlayStation1 and PlayStation 2. I was very sad, because I had myself expected to play Abe again on PlayStation1 in 2-D. In the mean time I began to paint pictures of Abe. I had the craziest ideas like ABE on a motorcycle or painted as a baby and I hung these pictures on the wall. Now I show the pictures to many friends.

How long have you been an artist?
Sabrina: It began already when I was in kindergarten. My painted pictures were already a sensation for many people at the age of four. The quality improved more and more, then in the 7th grade, the head master saw my pictures and published them on the internet.

What piece of your Oddworld artwork are you most proud of?
Sabrina:  I like the 89m large painted Abe the most. After that the level- pictures, which represent Abe's Exoddus and Abe's Oddysee, which IÕve played for a long time.

What inspires you most about the Oddworld series?
Sabrina:  The Oddworld characters inspire me a lot and the diagrams, even if they are in 2-D. The movements of individual creatures are very original and true to life.

Who is your favorite Oddworld character and why?
Sabrina:  My favorite character of the individual creatures is still Abe. I like his simple behavior, what he says, and his merry voice. It inspires me still that he is a stumblebum and at the same time a hero, which are very popular with other mudokons. As is explained in the game, it's simply sweet. That's why I am an Abe -fan!

What's your favorite environment?
Sabrina:  My favourite enironment on Oddworld of Abe's Oddysee is Paramonia/temple of Paramonia and Monsaic- Lines. In Abe's Exoddus Necrum-Mines, Paramite and Scrab.

Who is your favorite bad guy?
Sabrina:  I think the Sligs are very cool. If one can speak correctly in the game and pull s.o.'s leg. with them and transform into her, so they can out-divide the slogs of instruction.

What do you think about Munch's Oddysee?
Sabrina:  I think Munch's Oddysee is a marvelous game. Already alone the diagram is mad, but unfortunately I can write nothing more to this game, because I did not play the game ever. I know it from it only from the commercial.

If you could ask Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning one thing, what would it be?
Sabrina:  Lorne, how did you come upon the idea of inventing Oddworld? One can only be envious of it. I think of many things but never anything like that. I am so impressed by your wonderful work. (??? I am not sure about my translation of this)

Is there anything you would like to tell your fellow Oddworld fans?
Sabrina:  Hello Oddworld fans! I am so happy that there are so many fans of Oddworld. I would be very pleased, if you can look at my website. If you have further questions for me, then simply email me at the address: samaessen@freenet.de I wish you lots of fun with your Oddworld friends.
