EA France has done it again! They are holding a big Oddworld La fureur de l’étranger contest (only for France) where you can win 4 Xboxes, over 50 accesories and one year of free EA games! All you have to do is to login over at this site and wait until there are enough bounty hunters subscribed to capture the bounty. When the time is right they will pic up a winner, you can higher your chances of winning by making friends subscribe too.
Oddworld Inhabitants to move to Emeryville

GameOne giving away signed goods and original artwork
GameOne (a French TV channel) will be showing a making of Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath this monday 28 february at 20h50. The article also mention that a special Oddworld evening is planned later next week.

There are also new comptetitions to win Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath over at XboxGazette (Belgium, France and Switzerland only) and Xboxgen.
Win Stranger’s Wrath or Movies of Oddworld
2 more competitions showed up in Europe on Xboxmatch and on Xbox Gamer to win Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath (and even the Pal version of the Bonus DVD Movies of Oddworld on Xboxmatch). And because it’s all in French I explained it all on the Oddworld Forums.
Oddworld Bounty Hunt in the Netherlands
EA has a huge marketing idea for Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath in Holland. According to Xboxworld.nl, EA is going to organize a nation‐wide ‘Hide and Seek’ operation called the ‘Oddworld Bounty Hunt’. The operation is going to start the 28 February, Xboxworld.nl will then release a Tip a day. Then the 4 Mars, between 16h and 18h, you’ll have to go to the place (with the help of the tips) where you think the ‘bad guy’ is hiding to bounty him! The winner will win 1000€! The 10 next ones will win the game Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath!

Lorne to speak ‘Genre Bending’ at E3
Lorne Lanning is going to be one of the panelists at E3’s discussion about ‘Genre blending: Careening beyond the status quo toward new levels of innovation’ (scoll down to 1·7).
Oddworld Universe reports that Xbox.com made an interview with Lorne Lanning and that they also put up a preview of the Official Prima Guide to the game. If you sign up on Xbox.com you’ll be able to download some sample pages in pdf format.

Lorne promotes digital backlots
The Hollywood Reporter has an article on Lorne Lanning’s use of ‘digital backlots’—character, environment and object models that can be used for movies and video games.
CodeJunkies have a selection of powersaves for Stranger’s Wrath for use with Action Replay or MAX Drive Xbox. Meanwhile, there are two new guides at GameFAQs. One is a Live Ammo FAQ by John T Perkowski, while Craig Millard has created a walkthrough for the second half of the game.
Although Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath remains number ten on Rogers Video’s most popular game rentals for all platforms, Blockbuster Video Canada has announced that the game is their eighth most popular Xbox game rental.
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee has been identified by contributors to Clemson University’s The Tiger: Online Edition as one of six ‘overlooked misfit’ games.

First unofficial guides to Stranger
A review in Spanish has been posted on Puerto Rican site ZONAi. Gustavo Delgado has awarded Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath four out of five. Derek Gonsoulin of the Orlando City Beat has also reviewed the game, awarding the gameplay 8, graphics 10, sound 9 and replay 6, all out of 10.
The first guides outside the official Prima walkthrough are now emerging. MojoMan220 has spotted that IGN have uploaded David “Dirty Zoopy” McCutcheon’s guide, with credit going to Esus of Oddworld Junkie for pointing out its availability for only IGN Insiders, while Ken J. N. has added his Boss Bounty Guide to GameFAQs.

UGO looks at Stranger and Oddworld history
UnderGroundOnline (UGO) has posted a ‘Super‐Feature’ on Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath. The first part called ‘Oddworld Revisited’ takes a look on Abe’s Oddysee, Abe’s Exoddus and Munch’s Oddysee. The second part introduces Stranger while the third one is presenting the different types of Live Ammo. They also put up an interview with Lorne Lanning and a review of the game!

GameDaily reviewed Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath, you can read it in two sizes: The ‘one minute review’ or ‘full review’. They rated it 4·5 stars out of 5.
GameZone also reviewed the game and gave it: Gameplay: 9 out of 10; Graphics: 9·2 out of 10; Sound: 9·1 out of 10; Difficulty: Medium; Concept: 9·5 out of 10 and Overall: 9·1 out of 10. Thereby they awarded it the ‘Editor’s Choice award’.

Xbox Advanced released the last part of their ‘Week Long Special’, the final review of the game and rated it: Visuals: 10 out of 10; Sound: 9 out of 10; Control: 9·5 out of 10; Gameplay: 9·5 out of 10; Replay: 7·5 out of 10 and Verdict: 9·2 out of 10. They also awarded it an ‘AMN Gold Award’.
GameSpy has put up a movie of Lorne Lanning talking about Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath at the DICE Summit 2005.
Marc Saltzman of Canada.com has reviewed the game and awarded it 3 out of 4.
