‘<b><dfn><cite class="exhibition">Lo strano mondo è il nostro: Messages from Oddworld 2011–1994—Lorne Lanning's and Sherry McKenna's Oddysee</cite></dfn></b>’ was an exhibition of Oddworld art that was hosted at Lucca Comics & Games 2011 from <time datetime="2011-10-28T10:00+02:00">28 October</time> to <time datetime="2011-11-06T19:00+01:00">6 November 2011</time>. The exhibition was curated by Debora Ferrari, Andrea Ferrari, and Luca Traini and included about 20 framed pieces of digital art from [[Oddworld Inhabitants]], as well as original portraits of [[Lorne Lanning]] and [[Abe]] by Samuele Arcangioli, and looped playback of the video ‘<cite class="video-title">[[Abe's Story]]</cite>’.

The subtitle for the exhibition was given as ‘<b><cite class="exhibition subtitle">Lorne Lanning e Sherry McKenna Oddyssee</cite></b>’ on the <cite class="blog-name">Neoludica</cite> blog,<ref name="Neoludica blog post"/> but as ‘<cite class="exhibition subtitle">Lorne Lanning's and Sherry McKenna's Oddysee</cite>’ on the <cite class="website-name">Lucca Comics & Games 2011</cite> website.<ref name="Lucca Comics and Games page"/>

== Venue ==
‘<cite class="exhibition">Lo strano mondo è il nostro</cite>’ was displayed in Ingellis Hall in the Lucca Center of Contemporary Art (Lu.C.C.A.) in Lucca, Italy, as part of Lucca Comics & Games 2011.<ref name="Neoludica blog post"/> Entry was free every day between <time datetime="10:00">10 a.m.</time> and <time datetime="19:00">7 p.m.</time> The ambient music played in the room was composed by Andrea Tiberio (credited as ‘Tibe’) specifically for the event.<ref name="Neoludica blog post"/>

At <time datetime="2011-11-01T11.30+01:00">11.30 a.m. on 1 November</time>, the room was used for a talk by Emanuele Vietina (Vice-President of Lucca Comics & Games), Maurizio Vanni (Director of <abbr title="Lucca Center of Contemporary Art">Lu.C.C.A.</abbr>), Debora Ferrari, Luca Traini, Ambra Bonaiuto, and Salvo Mica.<ref name="Neoludica blog post"/>

No representative of Oddworld Inhabitants attended the exhibition,<ref name="OWI didn't attend"/> although [[Stewart Gilray]] wanted to send [[Wil Bunce-Edwards]] to visit it.<ref name="Stew wanted to send Wil"/>

Also on display was the 7-minute video ‘<cite class="video-title">[[Abe's Story]]</cite>’, which was played on loop in a small, darkened room.<ref name="OWI didn't attend"/><ref name="Sgabbit footage of exhibition"/> This was described on the <cite class="blog-name">Neoludica</cite> blog as ‘<q cite="https://neoludica.blogspot.com/2011/10/neoludica-lucca-con-oddworld-lo-strano.html" lang="it">un'opera inedita</q>’ (‘<q class="translation">an unpublished work</q>’), although it had previously been published to the Oddworld Inhabitants [[Oddworld Inhabitants on YouTube|YouTube]] channel in late <time datetime="2011-02">February 2011</time>.

The exhibition included original portraits of Lorne Lanning and Abe by Samuele Arcangioli, which were part of his ‘<cite class="exhibition">EMPATIA</cite>’ series, which also included portraits of Shigeru Miyamoto, Will Wright, and Alexey Pajitnov.
