View source for The Waiting Game

<b><dfn><cite class="videogame WaitingGame">The Waiting Game</cite></dfn></b> was a joke <abbr title="virtual reality">VR</abbr> concept by [[Oddworld Inhabitants]]. A version was created, but because the popularity of VR didn't increase much, production instead focused on <cite class="videogame OddworldSoulstorm">Oddworld: Soulstorm</cite>.

The idea involved the player being in a waiting room filled with [[Mudokon]]s who were out of work and complaining about not getting employed to make the next [[Oddworld videogames]].

[[Lorne Lanning]] shared the idea on the [[Oddworld Discord]] on <time datetime="2019-02-16T19:49:44.949Z">16 February 2019</time>, describing the prototype as ‘<q cite="https://discord.com/channels/293291256736382976/293291256736382976/546418184757182503">creepy</q>’.<ref name="Lorne on Waiting Game 1"/><ref name="Lorne on Waiting Game 2"/>
