A Devil Vine is an Oddworld plant that was designed for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath as a type of Live Ammo, but was not used in the final game. They have not appeared in any other Oddworld game.

According to concept art, Stranger would have fired an animate seed that would grow into a sentient plant. This plant would then reach out towards nearby enemies, pull them closer, and either restrain them in cocoons or fight them.[1][2][3][4]

Appearances

Concept art for the Devil Vine by Silvio Aebischer appears in one of the unlockable images from the New Yolk City area of Stranger’s Wrath HD for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.[1][2] More concept art was used for two posts in the Instagram series Oddworld: The Lost Archives.[3][4]
