Forest of Mudos

The Forest of Mudos is a forest in Mudos. In December 2023, Greener Pastures Realty and the Magog Cartel began promoting their business activities in the forest on X, Instagram and Facebook as part of the Magog Cartel takeover of Oddworld Inhabitants' social media accounts.

Meat processing plant

The Magog Cartel began clearing trees in the Forest of Mudos to make space to build a meat processing plant. It referred to this process as ‘reallocation’ of the trees. Throughout December 2023, the Magog Cartel promoted a number of commercial products manufactured out of wood, although it never stated that they were created from the trees of the Forest of Mudos, or that the trees in the forest were being destroyed. These products were appropriate for the festive season.

Burial ground

At the same time the Magog Cartel was promoting its reallocation of trees from the Forest of Mudos, it shared announcements from Greener Pastures Realty regarding an area of the forest covering 2000 acres (800 hectares) where an ancient burial ground had recently been discovered. On 5 December 2023, Greener Pastures began registering interest among property developers and investors in the burial ground area of the Forest of Mudos, which they claimed had had ‘only’ 30% of its valuable resources depleted. This had increased to 34% on 10 December, when Greener Pastures announced that permissions and permits to mine bones would be offered at a discounted price. Although they claimed that it was extinct, the Magog Cartel avoided answering the question of which species the bones belonged to.

By 15 December, Greener Pastures claimed that 37% of the land's resources had been depleted. At this time it announced that discussions would take place that week at City Limits Bar regarding the potential for an amusement park to be built on the ancient burial ground once bone mining had finished.
