This is a list of cheats available for Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus for PlayStation and Windows.

PlayStation

Level select

At the main menu, hold R1 and enter down ↑ ← → △ □ ○ △ □ ○ ↓ ↑ ← →. You will be taken to a list of levels.

View all FMVs

At the main menu, hold R1 and enter ↑ ↓ ← → □ ○ △ ○ □ ○ ↑ ↓ ← →. You will be taken to a list of FMVs.

Path skip

During gameplay, hold R1 and enter ○ ○ × × □ □. Gameplay will skip to the next area. However, as each path skip is a pre-saved state, performing this cheat will change the number of Mudokons Abe has rescued and killed.

Invincibility

During gameplay, hold R1 and enter ○ △ □ × ↓ ↓ ↓ ○ △ □ ×. Abe will now be invincible against most attacks. He will still die from pit traps and, unless he hits a wall on the way down and lands on his back, high falls.

Windows

Level select

At the main menu, hold the shift key and enter ↓ → ← → ← → ← ↑. You will be taken to a list of levels.

Noclip mode

This trick, often called just ddcheat, lets you activate a noclip mode, allowing Abe to fly through the air and move through walls and floors. To do this, go into the Abe’s Exoddus folder on your computer (by default this is C:\Program Files\Abe's Exoddus\), right-click on Exoddus.exe and click ‘Copy’. Right-click somewhere (in any folder on your computer, or your desktop) and select ‘Paste Shortcut’ to create a shortcut icon. Right-click on that icon and select ‘Properties’.

Click on the ‘Shortcut’ tab at the top of the Properties window and look at the field labelled ‘Target:’. Leave the address and quote marks as they are, but go to the end and add ‘ -ddcheat’, including the space before the hyphen. Apply the change.

Alternatively, if you run the game through the Steam client, right-click on ‘Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus’ in your game library and select ‘Properties’. Go into ‘Set launch options…’ and enter ‘-ddcheat’, this time with no space before the hyphen. Apply the change.

Now, when you start Abe’s Exoddus using this shortcut, at any time during gameplay, press the tab key to enter the noclip mode. Using the cursor keys you can move Abe about the screen in all directions through walls, floors and the air. Holding shift will move him faster. Pressing tab again will return Abe to the game’s normal laws of physics, albeit unable to take fall damage (excluding the off-screen pit traps). This can also be done with possessed Sligs and Scrabs.

Be careful, because there is some odd behaviour with this mode, especially regarding Abe’s death. This trick can also be used in the Windows demo using the string ‘ -cheat’.
