Oddworld: Soulstorm — The art of the videogame is an Oddworld designed by Pix'n Love and published by Microids SA. It was released on to accompany the launch of Oddworld: Soulstorm physical Collector's Oddition but can be purchased individually.

Release

The book was first revealed as part of the Collector's Oddition of Oddworld: Soulstorm, announced by Microids on .[1]

Lorne Lanning received a copy of the book along with the rest of the Collector's Oddition on ,[2] while Pix'n Love received their sample copies on .[3]

Binding

Oddworld: Soulstorm — The art of the videogame is a landscape book printed on glossy paper with a size of 229 × 152 mm (9 × 6 inches). Its hard cover brings its size to 240 × 160 mm. Promotional and store art showed the cover as a close-up of Abe's mouth and stitches, although when the book shipped its cover depicted Abe's head superimposed on a matte painting of Necrum.

The book starts with a brief recap of Oddworld Inhabitants' history and previous games, but is mostly filled by three sections of art: one for the characters that appear in Oddworld: Soulstorm, one for the locations, and a smaller section covering the vehicles and environment props. Most of the art in these sections are screenshots from the game and 3D renders from development, although there are also sketches and paintings as well as art from Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. The book ends with a 7-page interview with creator and designer Lorne Lanning.
