Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is the second videogame by Oddworld Inhabitants, released in after a 9-month production period. Exoddus is a direct sequel to Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, building on its story and gameplay while introducing new elements to the Oddworld universe. Exoddus is not the second entry in the original Oddworld Quintology, instead being marketed as a ‘bonus title’ that fills in part of the story before the real second entry: <city>Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. Despite this, it featured twice as much gameplay as Abe's Oddysee and generally received slightly higher ratings from reviewers, critics and fans.
Abe's Exoddus was originally released on the original PlayStation, as well as Microsoft Windows, in . The PC version was subsequently released on various online distributors beginning in . A handheld adaptation, Oddworld Adventures 2, was released for Game Boy Color in . A broad remake—marketed as a ‘reimagining’—called Oddworld: Soulstorm was released in .
